Starting A YouTube Channel?
So I did it. I started my own personal YouTube channel, and I am EXCITED!
YouTube is difficult, but yet so rewarding for me. Nerds Doing Things was great, reacting with Nikki to fun movie trailers. However, it was nerve-racking!
Reacting the "right way", trying to remember what happened in the previous film/season, and intelligently breaking down how the trailer made you feel, what you think is going to happen, and what in the trailer WOWed you.
It was just a lot.
That is why I am so stoked to create my personal YouTube channel. I have a bachelors in film and I think it is time to use it. I have always had jobs or side gigs within film. But it is time to get serious. Granted I am going to become a Fireman, but I will only be working 10 days a month. So those other 20 days will be dedicated to family and working on my channel/branding myself to get side work in the film industry.
Like my last post said, I have been watching a TON of videos on YouTube about finances and minimalism. Which is awesome! However, it isn't a realistic thing for us right now. We don't have our own house, so I can't go about gutting my mother-in-law's haha. But once we do get our place I am so ready to have the ESSENTIALS and not be stuck having extra junk for the just-in-case moments.
Anyway, the channel is going to be an outlet for me just like this website, a place to dump my life and showcase things that I love! My first video isn't what I wanted the channel to be known for. But I at least posted something and got the ball rolling. The next couple of videos are going to be about my YouTube strategy, and reviews of video equipment. My camera gear and what my goals are for the channel and the future. I have to edit all night and hopefully schedule the video for today or tomorrow at the latest. I have a deadline of every Monday night. Every week I will be posting something, even if I don't LOVE the video.
But enough blabbering on, thank you for listening and I hope you can watch and subscribe to the channel!
